Lots 1-11: Jars should be of different varieties. Label jars accordingly.
Lots 13-21: Enter Tomatoes in Lot 13. Specify variety of fruit, berry, vegetable, pickle, or relish on a separate line of entry form for each kind entered.
All canned fruits, vegetables, and pickles must be exhibited in regular canning (pint, quart) jars. All jars with lids must be clean, otherwise they will be disqualified. Each jar is to be labeled with name of product. Jams and jellies must be sealed in half pint or pint size canning or jelly jars. Due to the USDA revisions, the use of paraffin for sealing jams, jellies, conserves, marmalades, and preserves made at home is no longer recommended. Therefore, entries sealed with paraffin will not be accepted for judging and will automatically be disqualified. Jars should have rings.
